The Daily Moan
My posts these days are a bit like waiting for a bus. You wait forever then two come together. A friend of mine suggested that my blog had some negativity about it these days and having my health in mind suggested that positive thoughts were much better for me than some of the negative stuff I have been writing lately. She asked my wife if she could speak to the editor of the Daily Moan, well honestly, I don’t know what the world is coming to, us wrinkles are supposed to moan, it’s what we do. I’ll do my best to be more upbeat but it is very difficult when every third week your blood numbers come under review and increases in one specific antigen mean bad news. Thank you Gerry for your concern I know it’s my best interests you have in mind. I love the title though I’ve been looking for a new name for the blog. The best I came up with so far was Great Barr Bob or perhaps the Great Barr Groan. Wadaya think?

Do you really need a new name? Will you lose some readers if you change it? I suspect some of your readers may arrive at this blog because they put Black Country in to a search engine - get rid of that and you may not be quite so easy to find. If you really are serious about changing the name perhaps you should keep the name you have now and have the other name as a sort of sub title - that was it might mean that people will be able to find you both ways.
I had a book for Christmas that you would probably find interesting it is called 'Talk to the Hand' and is written by Lynne Truss who also wrote 'Eats, shoots and leaves'. I find myself sitting and agreeing with her as I read it on lots of things - maybe it's an age thing!!!
Keep the name - a Black Country Brummie is even more of a contradiction than my aspiration to be a Black County Cockney!
Did you notice how much the Cockney is struggling he can't even spell Country correctly!!
FP are you trying to start a war? I was wondering if there was cockney slang for brummie. I never could understand what they were talking about. With us black country folk is easy to understand.
No war I think David knows me well enough not to take offence. You are right of course about us Black Country Folk being easy to understand
Dur! silly me, of course "David" I never made the connection.
I think I might keep the name after all. It does have a certain ring about it.
